LAND & TRANSFORMATION

The transformation of an eroded hillside into a living ecosystem shaped in harmony with nature’s rhythm.

Transforming the land is not about ruling it, but restoring balance by understanding its natural flow.

At ZEZE Çiftlik, every intervention is made to strengthen the soil and build a long-term system.

PHILOSOPHY

LAND AND TRANSFORMATION

SOIL MANAGEMENT

Soil is not merely a surface, but a living entity. Through terracing, natural nourishment, and balanced use, its strength is preserved and enhanced.

PABLO POND

Pablo Pond is one of the living ecosystems designed at ZEZE Çiftlik to support natural life. Once a bare and rocky area, it has today transformed into one of the farm’s calmest and most vibrant corners, with its reeds, koi fish, willow trees, and the biodiversity that has developed around it.

LIMITED PRODUCTION

The aim is not maximum output, but the right kind of production. The trees are not pushed beyond their limits, and capacity is never exceeded. To preserve quality, production is consciously kept limited.
COLLECTION

OUR OLIVES

Zeze Çiftliği is located on the slopes of Ayvalık, at an altitude of 440 meters, where the sea breeze from the Aegean meets the northerly wind from Mount Madra.

This unique microclimate allows the soil to breathe; our olive trees mature in nature’s own rhythm, without the use of any agricultural pesticides.

STONE PINES

Stone pines are an important part of ZEZE Çiftlik’s natural landscape and production culture. With their evergreen character, strong adaptation to the region, and long-lived productive qualities, they create a natural texture across different parts of the land.

MEDICINAL AND AROMATIC PLANTS

At ZEZE Çiftlik, medicinal and aromatic plants are an important part of a production approach that works in harmony with nature.

Species such as lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage, and similar plants that adapt well to the region’s climate and soil are cultivated not only for production, but also to revitalize the soil and create nectar sources for bees and other pollinators.

VIEWING POINTS

Thanks to the different elevations and slopes across the Zeze land, there are special viewing areas that offer a variety of landscape perspectives.

These points provide the opportunity to rest and enjoy time surrounded by natural scenery that changes throughout the day. They carry the names of our beloved companions, who are part of our family. Mingi Hill and Bonie Boulevard are among these special viewing points.

TERRACING AND STONE RETAINING WALLS

Terracing practices that adapt to the natural structure of the land help prevent erosion and contribute to more efficient retention of rainwater in the soil.

While providing safe and comfortable access on sloped areas, they also strengthen the landscape design and create living spaces in harmony with nature.

NATURAL TEXTURE ISLAND

Sustainable Design that Preserves the Memory of the Soil

At ZEZE Çiftlik, a sustainable living space has been created by preserving the natural texture of the land. While the existing vegetation on the northern slopes has been protected, ecological diversity has been supported with stone pines and nectar-rich plants for bees.

Located at the center, the “Natural Texture Island” has been preserved with its existing rocky structure and native species, keeping the area’s original character alive. In addition, the old stone structure has been restored with natural materials, giving renewed function to the region’s historical and cultural identity.
